who we are
Laurel started her real estate career as a management trainee at Brentwood Mall in Burnaby BC in 1985. When she discovered that she could get paid to go to a shopping centre each day, she knew she had landed her dream job. After managing centres for a few years, she found her real passion in leasing and worked for several landlords throughout western Canada working her way up to the position of Vice President, Retail Leasing for Primaris Management Inc., where she set the strategic direction for the western portfolio of assets totalling over 8 million square feet and was responsible for leading the leasing team in all transactions.
Never one to rest on her laurels (pun most definitely intended), in 2015 Laurel branched out on her own to open her own brokerage and consulting business where she now represents several tenants as well as landlords in their lease negotiations. Her real passion is bringing two parties together to find the middle ground and successfully bring a transaction to a close. If there is a middle ground to be found, Laurel is sure to find it.
Laurel leads an active lifestyle and when she is not hard at work with her clients, she regularly attends bootcamp and yoga and loves hiking in the Rockies. She is also a certified Highland Dance Instructor and sits on the Board of Directors for the Calgary Silver Linings Foundation. Laurel has a son who is corporate New York attorney and a daughter who is a family physician in rural Alberta.
